Are you experiencing too much lift in the stern?

yes ,Which the 388 rides nose down anyway. It just started porpoising around 100 and you can hear the props cavitating alittle in between hops. Its acts like a bass boat up on the pad. With the drive at 1 or even at 0 it still does it . Also chine walking in flat water.Tabs at 0

I need to ck the toe , also need to try turning them in . and also ran out of prop!!

I still have 200 more hp on just a pulley change . But

Rob

I just got off the phone w/ him. his old 388, whippled 500's, boxes, bravos, porpoised bad also around 98-100... didnt chine walk at all though.. I know w/ his 32, to keep it steady over 100, he had to run a good amount of tab and positive trim, just like Paul told him to.. same w/ a fast 26. i would thinnk spinning the props in w/ give you more stern lift and more chine walk....

he said hustler filled the stringers in, inside the bilge, of black cloud to allow for grinding of the strakes on the outside w/out going through the bottom.

what are you running for motors/power again??

I was told the opposite .They said Turning them in gives bow lift?

Its a whipple 500efi I built Dynoed at 759 hp at 7 1/4 boost and at 10psi it made at 6100rpm 850 and 909 TQ .

Thanks for the info.

You're probably right.. i was tryiong to make an educated guess.. i would thinking spinning them in would create a centralized downward thrust between the two props lifting the stern, but, im by far no expert...

wow.. that's good power. his whippled 500efi's that came from hustler made 740hp i believe.
