cougar25 I believe the drives are rated for 600HP
As for Docking? You have to practice, they do not reverse as well as a stern drive but I do not have any problems docking the boat. You just have to take your time if there is a strong wind or tide.
One of the drawbacks to surface drives is hangout out in swallow water. People walking around the boat can easily hit the propellers if they don't know the boat has surface drives. Also if you are pulling a speed skier the rooster tail is long.
Otherwise Bulletproof!!!!
