Question

Guys,

I saw that one on a different site... looked like an awesome deal. However, the engine pics looked like they revealed quite a bit of rust. The barrel of the hatch lift was rusty, as was several engine components... I am not saying the engines weren't in great shape as I have no data to review, just without the routine maintenance/ cleaning, made me pause/ reconsider. Additionally, the superchargers were unpainted. Aluminum oxidizes VERY quickly and tends to cloud badly without routine upkeep. Hopefully, with a deal pending, all went well for the new buyer!

What is everyone's take on this issue? I know salt water use is VERY hard on a boat; even trying to keep the components clean from the salt air. How does everyone in a salt water environment maintain a pristine looking boat?
