Default Slingshot Anchor

Colud anyone tell me what anchor and size stores correctly in our Slingshot anchor locker? We were unable to retrieve ours last year at Lake Cumberland's Poker Run.

Thanks Steve

Be very careful about what u buy and where u put it in the boat. I had a customer just throw it in his anchor locker need less to say shortly after words he had a hole in the bow of his boat.

It has 2 settings.I think it was the mud selection hole, ya cant use the mud flaps. Its the One has the less sticking up so the door will close, also youl have to cut about 1 inch off each end.Make sure ,if its to short ital fall thru,I use a rubber type coated chain,if it does touch the deck want scratch as bad,http://www.fortressanchors.com/anchor_angles.html.I use a 7 on the rear, ital fit in the side compartment, hope this helps,Rob

Sure

I wish I had people suggestion things before when I got my 388, theres always a better way to do it

I also made a rear sand spike out of 1/4 angle aluminum 31 inch long, welded a top plate to hook the ss quick connect,it could be made out of smaller stock,I use a 3/8 x 25 dock line.just hook the loop end in the quick connect, it goes into the sand about 15-20inches,I made it pointed and put a 45 on the edge it goes in OK, you could use a hammer, but that dents the aluminum,Ital go so far then you can step on the end ital go a litlle farther.I use it when we back into a sandbar, I also have a #7 for a rear anchor shallow water with sand. I had polished the sand spike to a mirror finish, it turns pretty quick, salt water spots it,Don't use the quick connects on the main anchor.I have 13.oo in it,free welding.

if I had to buy on the replace the 7 I would try 11,but it might not fit in the side compartment

Thanks, glad to know someone is available with previous trials and errors to learn from. Hope to someday have our boat half as nice as yours.
