Amazing, a boat that literally spent most of it's life sitting in someone's basement...and it's now for sale for 30K. Says something about the state of the economy. Seriously - that was a great hull.
|
32
someone knows the boat
yes it is |
I was with you when you first looked at it old man. Now if you'd only cut me a deal on a car we'd call it even.
|
for SOME reason i thought that was you
|
Yup - you can't shake your old boat broker! I remember when you and I first went to see that boat, it was in Richie's basement sitting next to his new 38 Slingshot. I didn't make a cent on the deal - I respected the heck out of Richie and I knew you loved the boat so much that I didn't have the heart to charge either one of you to put the deal together (although I should have....you bugged me for 6 months).
It was a trip seeing THE 32 that ran 122 mph with the big power and Arneson's sitting there unrigged and perfect in the basement. As I remember, Richie took out part of the wall to his basement so he could put the boats down there. Heck, it was my personal dream basement, but then again my wife tells me I'm warped. Tell me if I am remembering it incorrectly, but that boat was built like a tank and had a cabin with all sorts of weight saving materials...yes? I just read another thread asking about cracks in the boat...is that guy referring to the little (like 1/4 inch long hairline gel coat) cracks that come off the edges of the engine compartment vents? That was that way back in '99....it was a cosmetic issue at worst. That hull had something like 250 hours on it...and you added what? 15 hours? I have a hard time thinking you cracked anything. Good luck with the sale - somebody's getting one heck of a deal. |
you need to decide what you want first !! :D
yes it was , never saw anything like it you saw them and they are nothing , i know it is tank and yes it was as you remember showing me how the stringers were tied into the hull and waht he did when it was being built it still has hardly any hours on it 265 or so give me ring when you can chris |

No Composites , Epoxy Or Vacuum Bagging That I Know Of
|
Actually, I am pretty sure the hull is vacuum bagged. As I remember, they all were in that model year. The cabin is real spartan - it's all there, but it's not a plush setup. For instance, they used a roll up curtain on the head entry way instead of a door - anything they could to make it simple, durable and light. As for you CB...I know the car I want...you've got to stop trying to sell me a granny grocery hauler!!! I'm too young and too male to be driving around in one of those things. :cool-smiley-027:
|
Trying to put me in a granny cruiser...Remember what it felt like to not quite be 40 Chris....if you can think back that far!!! :evilb: Seriously, I can't get over how this site has grown. We were the either the first or among the first corporate advertisers on OSO back in 1999. Jeff (I think that was the guy) e-mailed me when I was placing free ads on the site for Blue Lightning Marine and offered us a spot on the banner. Whoever runs this site has done one heck of a job. Back to the boat - If your boat was white you'd be asking 30K more and likely getting a buyer. Hopefully someone reading this will get the picture...this boat is far from a 30K boat. Without power maybe...but as it sits it's one heck of a deal. I'll give you a scream in the AM old timer.

Could someone that recieved the pics post them up?
Thanks |

Chris,
Is this the/your boat? The 32 Hustler, one of the best, if not the best V-bottom 32 ever built. |
yes it is Frank
how are you ? been awhile i saw an old thread with your name on it and here your old boat belongs to a customer of mine too funny YES - THE FASTEST 32 HULL BUILT hope all is well |
Bor
yes , i asked where you found yours at i wish you would have called it's going regardless , may even come apart see if one of your friends wants it IT IS A PIECE OF HISTORY - FOR IT'S TIME - 122 MPH WITH PREVIOUS BIG POWER AND ARNESONS |
nothing that can't be remedied with some paint
CAN'T CHANGE THE WAY THE BOAT IS BUILT AND THE HISTORY THAT COMES WITH IT |

It's A Giveaway Now |
CB....seems like a real good price for your 32. You should land a buyer as soon as the weather starts to improve.
It's too bad that Hustler didn't capitalize on the 32 nameplate & reputation when they created the Cheetah. It may have helped the 32 resale market. Reggie handled the Fountain transition better with the 10 meter to the 35, and keeping a consistent model identity. |
i agree
but i think it's still the best hull made everything else in that line came from this and look at the race wins the 40 was spawned from the 32 and the 37 and 42 outerlimits look at the boats from the fairing back the 32 all the way to me that's what matters |

Doing the Skater thing, and I would never go back to a v-bottom hi-perf boat, unless it was in addition to a Skater cat. It is always good to hear from you. If you are referring to my OuterLimits, I do not know the guy, he purchased her from Bullock Marine in TX, but I have seen a few of his posts, and he seems to really take care of her, and she seems to be keeping him well pleased. The hi-perf boat community, at the top of the food chain, is a fairly small community. Sooner or latter, things come back around, which is why people like you and I, try to do the right thing, and find ourselves with a good reputation. Thousands of pictures at my web site, check some out. |

FRANK YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT - OLD ADAGE WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND
will miss the whole but life right now does not permit it and time is very limited for me cats are not for me , i don't like sitting down . no OL GTX either and want a cabin i figured you did not know him but it'd funny , one day i see the boat passing in front of me and i'm like what the ..... he does really like it he did big power and had fun this season from what i understand as well as no issues stay in touch Bor i will let you know what happens let me know if you hear anything Chris |
I hope somebody recognizes what you have here Chris. As I remember the previous owner telling me, this hull was built with a special lay up schedule. I have never seen another one like it. The previous owners last boat before this one was lost after it sunk, so he was dead set on having something super special built...hence the boat you have was created. This was the fastest 32's built. I wish I could buy it myself, but I have too many other things going on right now. Please let me know if I can help in any way. I'm hoping this one goes to a good home. Too bad you can't keep it....so it goes with having a family!
