well mostly on the ohio river, once or twice a year up in huron and lake st clair, and maybe a couple times a year up in erie, would really like to be in the 90s or low 100 mark, any suggestions? i was really getting tired of being beat up in the 25 footer......

The 388 is a hanful over 90. The only way to fix it is to shorten the strakes from the last step back to the transom. This can only be done on later ones I think 2004 and newer. The bottom was designed to run fast with stock 500's hence alot of stern lift. That 37OL hull is good to 115mph. Do you need a cabin?

Wow that slingshot is beat down! almost bought that boat and it was mint! Customryder owned that boat and it had stock 525 mercs. Traded in for a Donzi ZR
Then the boat went to Trick marine which explains the pumpkin orange trim tabs and shifters.
