I took it apart , the motor and gears inside where coroded , I cleaned it all up and greased it and it started working ok .
Hustler told me they put too small of wire on to go to 10 gage .
The new one have a different motor ,different gear ratio ,slower.
I would just clean it first

LMarth sent me some pictures to scan and post for him. Its a 388 Hustler With the Merc 800sc and speedmasters 5's. he has a very clean looking and fast 388. I let Lou post some more info on it .
