Sorry it took so long to get you these but I could not find your original thread. These are the pictures that I took a few weeks back of the mirror set up that Formula uses. Sorry not my camera so I had a hard time getting good close ups.

The bushion looks like it protects the mirror from the threads. Thanks:drink:

They also bottom out so that you are not tightening on the mirror but instead the bushing. You can tighten them up with out worrying about breaking the mirror.

That slingshot was at Cumberland right before we went out there, sold it, and then they told me the guy was going to trade it in on something else, wife loved it! if the timing would have been right she would have brought it home

Well they were fixing the spot on the side back corner, clear pealed off the white ,he said no adhesive promoter from Hustler, the clear on the colors stayed on, weird, so we had to re clear the hole side$$$, I told him theres some chips in the front from towing that lets touch them up so we want be clearing over chips and scratches, and again before he was fixing to clear it "DO NOT clear over the nicks!!!" he forgot was his excuse, so the guys that were wet sanding it just sanded over them knowing they could see them,it would show up as a dark hole, they could of feathered it or filled it with clear, then wet sanded smooth, then they would of not showed up as pin holes,

Then they had sanded and buffed it out slick, claimed they were finished,I held up a light to it and could see DA sanding scratches and also wet sanding scratches, they started out with DA 600 on the fresh clear, saying it was to hard to start with a higher grit,600 shows up pretty course. They said they would try and put some clear is the chips to raise up the holes and rebuff the sides, he did the same thing on the transom, sanding scratches and the bottom of the swim platform was painted also and had orange peel, they said no body would ever see it,That would be a half ass job,I told him it needs to be buffed and u can see it on the trailer.I said to him why do you think I wanted the bottom to look like brand NEW, fix EVERY scratch, nick, air void, to cut and buff it to seal up all porious in the gell from me using hull cleaner,I made him go over it twice because he left sanding scratches in places ,to me that would attract the dirt and stick'stain' in the sanding marks and being its still porious there,Iv had work done there before he knows me and how I am,and he's defiantly chargeing enough for the job I wanted,he's picky like me on all of his stuff and agreed about half ass body shops painting over chips on the front of cars.He working on the top not finishing the other parts,I TOLD him do not paint the top before I Inspect it!!

Why should have I tell the owner how to do a good job?

I'm having to be a baby sitter instead of a boater since the first of December.

Now he wants money for the work on the engine compartment and transom which is not finished,5k

I try so hard to keep my stuff clean and looking new, everything polished out,a lot of time,

This is how I got my drives back after a rebuild from a upper gear failure that they would not give a explanation of why/how it went out:(

The top cap looks like it was slid across the bench,I guess there drive stand or vice chipped up the paint on the cav plate edges, yes the drive is 2 years old and 104 hours so it had some chips anyway, the foot has gouges in the leading edge:mad:the side of the foot also has dents/gouges in the aluminum finish.

This was a full rebuild on both drive all bearings, gears. The out side was not cleaned, input shaft splines had all the old grease on it still, figured it would of be cleaned with the guts? Look at the the oring groove on the water and shift cable.

I'm I being unreasonable?

No, unfortunately most of the guys that work on boats now are monkeys that dont care about the customers boat. Get it out and get it billed, collect a check!!

Then they all wonder why they cant seem to get ahead and make it big in this world.

I wouldnt pay them for the paint rework and the drive guy should know better.

That sucks!
