Friend of mine went to NY boat show. He was told a company (or a guy) called MARKEL (insurance or marine or whateverelse) could insure a canadian resident.

Any body have a link to post, or a phone to reach them?

I never was able to insure an 85 Chris Cat here and I'm still looking to find where I could insure this!

they do business under other names. markel american was the insurer when i had my bike insured with "bikeline"

I am an Authorized Markel Agent and just got off the phone with their lead marine underwriter, they do not write in Canada. You may want to try and call Pierre at 514 878-4162. He is supposed to be one of the largest marine insurance agents up there. Sorry I do not know his last name or the name of the agency he is with. I hope this helps.
