Default Question for Insurance Guru's

The Bullet has been in storage for the last several years and kept liability only to retain the policy. Going to full coverage, getting the survey today. I have a few questions:
1) At what point does the ins co got nuts with horsepower and speed ?
2) Policy states coverage up here in the N.East. I am towing the boat down to Murray. Was told by my agent hurricane season starts June 30th but will be back way before. Can I get a rider to be covered while in transport and boating in Murray ?

1) Some less expensive carriers have a top speed of 60 - 70. The High Performance markets will go up to 120 MPH. Markel has a program that will go up to 150. I believe Elton Porter is the only agency that can write the 121 - 150 policy. If your boat is under 120 (which I believe it is), you will have a few more options (like me) Whatever your decision is, I would only go with an agency that understands the High Performance market. (EP, EM, Worldwide etc)

2) Yes

Good luck,

Shawn
