Default Holy s**t -- progressive insurance.

I just received a quote for 8200 a year on our 07 292 Fastech!
My driving record is perfect for the last 15 years and I have never had a boating claim on any of the prior boats we have owned.

Just tell them it's a fishing boat.......should bring the premiums down to 244 dollars and 4 cent.

I have my Fountain insured through worldwide marine. They underwrote it even though it's a Progressive policy. I paid 1300 the first year and 1100 this year. My boat has a 525 in it btw AND I'm in FL. You have mild power and should get a better rate. Get a hold of Gregg at Worldwide Marine. He'll hook you up.

Try going through Elton Porter. Their quote was way cheaper than Progressive direct. When I was shopping I was getting quotes around $1600 for used ('02 - '04) 292s.

I am not sure why but State Farm has said they do not want to insure the powerboat... This four months after we purchased it and all of our other boats have been with them. They were charging us about 1600 a year.

State Farm wouldn't insure a Fastech for me either. Actually they got to the point where they wouldn't insure anything.

Yeah, it was kinda strange because they have been covering this boat for about 4 months now. I guess they just figured out exactly what it is.
