You need to be honest bruin_d. The reason the carrier declining to offer you insurance was a valid reason. Don't distort the program and its quality just because you got declined. There are many many people on here who are insured with the program that are thankful that this carrier doesn't just accept everyone thus resulting in lower premiums for them.

The program is for experienced performance yacht/boat owners (over 25ft). Those items you are referring to are guidelines, not promises to insure you.

As stated, this is a conservative program. They take very few risks. By them doing this it saves the people in the program money on lower premiums.

Sorry, but I can't please and insure everyone. You still have a carrier that will offer you coverage.

Just a reminder that this program is not for FL or LA risks. Our only market for performance boats in FL is with Markel Insurance Company. Thanks everyone! :)

Wanted to add something about our main program. If you have ANY motor vehicle violations in the past 5 years, DISCLOSE them when you request a quote. Sometimes an MVR record can be a serious deal breaker.

If we know your driving record up front, we can place you accordingly rather than taking the time to go through everything to get declined by the carrier due to a poor driving history. Our guidelines for most of our programs are as follows for motor vehicle violations:


Minor moving violation or at fault accident: No more than 3 minor violations in 3 years , and no more than 5 minor violations in 7 years.

We do have markets that will entertain more violations, this is just for the main program.
