Default Home Owner's Insurance

Folks, I want to shop around for new home owner's insurance. I was always happy with my current co. (USAA) until this year. Last winter I had to file my very FIRST claim for a flooded basement. My premium for this year went up 50%!!!!!!!! Not 40, not 45, not 47.........50%!!!!

Anyone working with a co. that they are very happy with? One that they would recommend to family?? One who has been there for them, but who seems to have aggressive rates???

Appreciate any info! Thx.

I ahve always been happy with State Farm. They have the best claims service and I have never had any extreme rate jumps. They did raise my deductible to 2% at one point because I'd made about 3 claims over 4 years. All claims were under 10k total.

Yeah, so. Is that supposed to be some kind of pitch? Weak at best. And you had to put GREENWICH in caps.....? Totally missing your point.

Default Pitch ?

I was just trying to find out if your home fit in with the carriers that we use.I have my 3 homes with CHARTIS and we have others.I'm sorry that you took this the wrong way as I was just trying to give you the right advice.I am far too busy writing boat insurance to get involved writing a stand alone HO-3 policy.
