I think it's great that you had a great insurance experience and were able to save some money! From what i know there are about 4 carriers in the US writing CAT insurance that are reputable and stand behind their policies come claim time. American Reliable, Markel, and State National and our No Limits program underwritten by Lloyds/PIS.

If your policy is from a carrier other than those above, you might want to do some research on the carrier.

Saving money is great! But sometimes savings are far too good to be true.... and the policy isn't good. Example... IWSF insurance policies....

From what I see Orestes represents a bunch of homeowners insurance carriers. Maybe you could post what carrier he wrote you with...
