Default IWSF.... what you should do now...

In the case of the most recent news of IWSF (International Water Safety Foundation) going bankrupt, you are no longer protected by your "insurance" certificate under their group policy. There will likely be no refund of any unearned premium.

Because IWSF is a Canadian outfit and not authorized to do business in the US, your local insurance commissioners office will likely not be able to do much as far as helping you with any ongoing claims, refunds due to you or anything else. If you were an IWSF certificate holder you are also not likely entitled to be protected by your state's guarantee fund for claims should you have one. So, it is recommended that you IMMEDIATELY replace your insurance coverage.

At Wake Zone we represent almost every performance insurance carrier in the market today. Should you wish to have us shop the market and find you the best rate, please either contact our office via phone or fill out our online web quote request form:

http://www.wakezoneinsurance.com/Quote_form.html

I would like for those of you that were "covered" by IWSF to realize that the performance insurance market has never tried to compete with IWSF as we do not look at them as an insurance company. Therefore, do not be shocked by the fact that the rates with United States admitted and non-admitted carriers are higher. It will cost you more money, but it is legitimate insurance coverage.

Should you need to discuss your situation with me, I will be happy to provide any of you with advice, recommendations and/or rates for your insurance.

I can be reached at 866-728-9757 ext 101.

Thanks!

Default Iwsf

I've been telling people about IWSF for over 20 years and in fact some boat dealers actually got angry with me for telling their customers that IWSF was worthless.I was accused of costing them sales and that they didn't care as long as they got a binder.I can't wait for MIAMI show when I confront some of these dealers whose clients didn't get their claims paid.

Default Iwsf Victims !

In the event an insurance agent placed your coverage with IWSF,I would report this agent to your state department of insurance.I know of an agency that was fined $50,000 for placing coverage with this company.
