Those are great places to start looking. What type of boat are you looking to buy? CAt or V? Single or Twin engine? What's the top speed of the boat?

I know that with some banks and lenders in the marine industry, these things are some of the things they consider.

Some banks don't ask... some do... I know their rules also change often.... which makes it hard to keep up with. Di you finance through a local bank/credit union or go with one of the larger lenders like Key Bank, Essex, Bank of America etc?

ive been finding the last 3-4 years local banks and such are not always the best rates anymore. Much better deals can be had online. Also I have found that local banks seem to be much more of a hassle and run you through a lot more hoops
