I have no problem with giving you my info and seeing what you can do when the time comes this winter. I just want to be sure i get coverage that is needed as i know FL has a fee extra policey part with hurricanes and things like that.
Will you please shoot me an email so that I can reply with some info for you. My email is: [email protected]

Foremost, as mentioned below, would be a great option if they wrote in FL. Unfortunately, now they do not. Shoot me the email and I'll give you the info you need to have to get the cost for insurance done.

It's been 7 years so I'm sure this isn't very applicable anymore but for what it's worth, I had a 25 Outlaw from 2001 through 2004 and I was between 24 & 27 years old and I insured it with Boat-U.S. for roughly 800 bucks a year.

My Cig today is $2,400 a year. I know others with darn near identical boats and they're about the same age as me and they pay a third of that. FL is one expensive state to insure a boat.

I want all my ducks in a row. My current Ford Explorer is being traded for a Tahoe with 4x4 next month actually to asure getting in and out of some slippy ramps and be able to handle the tow weight with much more ease.

I know my maintance cost and i always laugh at those that don't think about it or say i will just deal with it when it comes lol. As far as safety equipment i have looked into cost just incase but most used boats i look into come with it but just incase not i do know what i am in store for then.

The boat will be the last peice in everything for me. That's one reason i am waiting a bit and i was very unsure of insurance pricing but other than that i feel good about making my first purchase.

My credit is middle road and getting better (dumb early 20's choices) but my driving history is good and have no flaws for the better part of 5/6 years.
Yeah at least your thinking ahead. FL might be a little more expensive on stuff and Im sure the bigger price tag is due to liability or property damage down there. Good luck and hope you get everything ready. When I picked my boat up I think I spent between 2-3 grand to get her ready. Dont matter what when you buy a used boat there is going to be at least one thing that has to be fixed that you will find. I had to buy new tires for trailer, winch strap, slave solenoids for each engine, new stereo, new oild and drive fluid, filters, boat cover, safety equipment. The boat was in nice shape. I figure next year it will only run me a few hundred to get her ready. But I tell everybody that gets into boating, have the right vehicle first and plan on spending 2-3 grand on top of purchase price
