let me just cut to the chase

both seaworthy and markel are about the same price

who would you rather have insurance with ???

i have seaworthy. So far no issues. No issues with them yet only had them this year

I had Markel in the past. If you cancel your policy on any day other than the policy renewal date, they screw you over with fees. I will never use them again after that experience. I think they suck.

If we're comparing policy forms (the contract they use in the event of a claim aka the many pages behind your declarations page)... "maybe" Markel. But seriously, there are better options out there.... Not sure what the boat is but what other carriers have you gotten rates from?

It's hard to tell you what carrier would be best without knowing the boat. You should never choose an insurance policy solely on price..... a whole myriad of things should weigh into your decision when you buy a policy.

Seaworthy sitting on a claim of mine for two months already, giving me run around everyday. Im ready to call BBB..
