Wozencraft took care of me when my longtime agent couldn't. The also know exactly what the boat is, HP, speed, etc..
Yes, they pull every trick in the book to stop outflows. Their adjuster's estimate to fix my car was less than half what the other adjuster said. I figured they would not just pay me off as I was not a customer but when they started screwing with their own customer, that is when it dawned on me how they keep their rates low.

I tried Progressive direct with my BAJA 302. It was wayyyyy high. I got on OSO and checked for insurance in the forums and it seemsed World Wide Marine ( bill I believe) had the best reviews. I called and he gave me a price affordable and reasonable. when the policy got written it ended up with Progressive, but World Wide is the broker. I even write the annual premium to Progressive. Much better going threw a broker that knows Power Boats. I have had them for 7 years, no claims, so no problems. I got a 41' Cat with high horsepower last year and the premium is expensive, but I got it not sure whats going to happen there. Stacy sent me a quote and I think they felt they were high but I don't think the plan was apples to apples and since I already had one in place I was in no hurry to jump if they were not confident they could save me on premiums.
Although ( if your reading this Stacy call me ) i wanted to give Wake Zone a chance so I sent a reply to our last email stating my Baja 302, a fishing boat for my dad and a jet ski was up for renewal this month pricing a new policy would be good, and would like to talk about what we can do with cat in june I believe its up, but I never heard back. Well my policy renewal came today and since i didn't get a reply i renewed with World Wide. I still want to talk to Stacy about the cat if they are still doing this. The cat is 3 times all the others combined.

Progressive does not insure all performance boats.

Rules with Progressive:

No engines over 500hp
No boats over 75mph top speed
Some particular boat models have restrictions on the amount of hp total you can have for the boat. Example, Fountain has a max hp of 840 (all engines combined)....

I've seen countless agents tell insureds that they "worked some magic" or got an exception... 10% of the time, that statement might be true. The other times, it's because the agent used a loop hole in the online rating system to get your boat in so they can sell a policy..... happens often with agencies that do not specialize in marine and just write boats every now and then.

The insurance prices and fuel cost are getting so absurd , never mind the marina fees. I could belong to an exclusive country club for what all these costs are....

I would like to find new ins for the OL and my Searay. Maybe a multiboat discount , can't operate both at the same time..

Andy is the man!

Andy just wrote the policy for my 1989 357 SR1 Formula. Awesome service and great rates.

Andy told me that if I ever needed to make a claim, to just call him and he would take care of it. I hope I never have to file a claim, but it is nice to know that I will have someone in my corner. I have been dealing with insurance companies for a lot of years and have to say I have never gotten near the service provided by Andy. His contact info is below.

Thanks again Andy!

Just got my renewal from State Farm. My rate actually dropped by over 15%. First time in 7 years that the rate has even changed.

Just got the insurance policy on our boat this week.
Thank You Andy at Wozencraft for all the hard work and time spent finding insurance for us on our 47foot Fountain in Colorado.
Now if it would just quit snowing so we can go to the lake.
