Check with Geico, a buddy of mine said they’re doing high performance boats now and rates are very competitive

Boat insurance is always a hot topic. There are so many factors too numerous to list that determine the final cost to the applicant. Your length of employment, credit card debt, net worth can be taken into account, past claims, motor vehicle violations, where you choose to live, real hp and top speed (insurance companies are getting hip to real world with these boats) what vehicles you tow with, behind the wheel experience, etc. As regulations change so do the way insurance companies calculate the risk, and obviously its going to be calculated in their favor. Best to shop around and state actual hp and top speed.
