Not sure what your boat you are insuring that makes a big difference. I was with ACE insurance before they bought Chubb. Ace Was awesome. Boats, Sandcars were all ok. not a lot of restrictions. as soon as they bought Chubb they went downhill. They didn't want to insure anything but the houses at a premium price. I finally switched to cincinnatti. they are much more like Ace was.

Not to hijack your thread but,,,,,,
dropped my coverage from Geico a year ago last November since the boat was getting a complete refresh so I knew it would be down for at least a year. Just finished it & getting ready to put her back in the water. Called to put coverage back on it. Had been paying 3600.00 a year. Now, new quote from the same people is 7400.00 a year. About had a heart attack. Needless to say, still looking.

I also had ACE and as said was sold to Chubb so now am with them. My policy went up significantly since the change. Maybe 60% or so. I have not had a claim ever since starting my policy on this boat in 2006. I'm not all so happy either.
