Re: Misc Jaguar photos

Finally got the drives off! They'll ship to Craig "Cola" next week and he will dry sump them; he's also sending the lowers to Hering for the skeg work.

Sounds Great, how soon is the turn around on them?

Jon-
The lower housings ship to Hering for the fin work, which they said would take about 2 weeks (plus shipping).
Craig said his work also would require about 2 weeks.
Hopefully, these estimates are accurate.

Dueclaws, what kind of seats do you have?

Re: Misc Jaguar photos

Bob-
They're carbon fiber shells. Two of them are for sale if you need any. I need a couple of wider ones for passengers who have "larger" butts.

Could you get some pics, measurements & price, I'm not in a big hurry, just started looking. The seats in the boat are ok but could be recovered, so I'm looking at all options. What kind are they? Thanks

Doug-
Is your Jag completed?

Re: Misc Jaguar photos

John, Thanks for asking and the answer is no. The paint and hull repair is completed and it is getting a complete interior because matching was out of the question. The stereo speakers were tore out of the side of the hull when the #6skeg came passing through and they couldn't be matched so they are all being replaced as well. I should get it back from the interior shop by next week and then off to have the boat rerigged. To remove the interior side panels and dash, to be recovered, all the controls and guages had to be removed, gps, helm, everything. The boat interior was stripped bare. Rerigging should be done by Feb. 10th I hope so I can have the port motor installed which is in yet another shop and location. The blower has been sent back to Moonyham and rebuilt and should be back on the motor and is waiting for the boat to show. New carbs for both motors are waiting. This has been a long winter and I really need a good upcoming season. The Jag looks like new and all precautions have been taken so that it will be better than before. I finally had a boat that idled and seemed dead reliable just before the accident. I need that same feeling back again. I am planning a trip back to my home town of Dubuque, Iowa with a stop at LOTO in June. I will post some pics when I have a whole boat again. I'm thinking about having an exorcism party when it finally makes it back to my shop, that should yield some good pictures. How are the drives coming along. I will have to wait for next year so I am interested to talk to you after you have a chance to experience the difference between wet vs. dry. Thanks Doug

I like the idea of your exorcism party; the guests should dress appropriately:cool: Wish I was there to see.
Please post pictures :D

The lower housings are at Hering and Craig has disassembled the rest. He's installing stainless sleeves on the prop shafts to alleviate future corrosion/seal problems. I'm also rebuilding the steering rams, but doing that on the boat; Craig cautioned me to not remove them. Seems the hose flares don't reseal well once removed.
So far, he's been outstanding.

Update for drives:
Hering has the lower cases and Craig said they're "in process". He's ready to complete the drives when the housings get back.
