Why do you still use wood? why no coreing? Just courious, looks nice, clean.

The 26 is the only non cored boat we've built. You don't need a flighty , light weight 26 to run in the ocean. We built that boat for Tyler Crockett and we knew he would put some good power in it. We could build a light weight 26 if somebody wanted a lake boat.

Oh on the wood. A good friend of mine aka Will Smith at Phantom taught me to always use 2 3/4 inch marine grade plywood sheets for transom and multi layers of glass. Do it right and nothing is better. We use fiberglass stringers though.

OK what about the wood? If a customer wanted coosa board instead would that be a viable option?

I've used coosa composites and it's good stuff. I've used it for stringers and transoms. Yes I would use it if a customer wanted it.
