What happened to them? The owner used to be on all this time and now nothing. I assume they're no longer building boats?

I talked to Brian Hollis two years ago about building an outboard boat but he needed too much down to start the project so I moved on. Don't think he's built one in awhile and the shop is closed. Website is down too. Not much from one their premier race teams either. Too bad some nice boats on classic hulls.

Too bad- They built a fast hull.

Its nearly impossible for a small custom builder to make ends meet.

Prob should nt say anything. I do know him but have not talked to him in years. There was a time we talked just about everyday. He basically had to take over the family biz more so day in and day out. He really did not need the headache of trying to sell boats nor trying to keep a small staff to build them either.

He always had some good ideas but getting older and family members getting older (if you can read inbetween the lines here about the family members getting older part) -- basically he lost the drive for his boat brands.

Really not trying to speak for Brian and have no idea if he even comes up here anymore but its just one of things whether or not to post something because others have and his brand boat is still posted on OSO. I do know his family was a really important part of his life as well.
