Default I was thinking....P4?

Just throwing it out there. Thinking about racing P4 in patchogue. With a 24p the boat tops at 84mph and has some pretty sick acceleration. I'm a little nervous about doing it, but I've always wanted to race. Just throwing the idea out there. I have a great throttle man ready to roll. Just curious as to what you guys think. I just don't wanna make an ass out of myself running off course or just plain sucking.

I would think P5 is a better choice. That is the 75 MPH class and with the short straight aways and lots of turns these days, coupled with the huge boat wakes, you're not going to get near that 84 MPH top end.

29 Kryptonite. I'd break out a lot in P5. Just kickin' around the idea. Its a 90mph boat propped out with a nice chop. I'd be propping down from a 26 labbed to a 24 stock. I

Haha, I know! So far I think typhoon, the old superheat bloat, saris, and rip it up are in p5. There's noooo way I'll be able to prop this bloat down to 75mph though. I'll be SURE to break out by lap 2. Would registering in p4 be a waste of time? I know I'd be the smallest and least powered boat out there, but that sounds like a cool challange!

Run it in 5. You don't have to use all the power you have. It will be a challenge in itself to keep from breaking out.

We have 700hp and are running in 5. The acceloration out of the corners is a huge help in brakcet racing. We can also prop moderately and run the equipment easier and the boat more locked in (tabs and drive tucked in) while still raching 75 with no strain.
