im not too worried. you can run an eagle stroker over 6000rpm blowing it up.. but i dont plan on keeping the set up at that engine speed for general engine/valvetrain life. i wish i had the dyno sheet so i could see where peak power is. its most likely 56-5800. id like to prop it at 6000 in this cool weather so it will be at 5800 when its warmer and loaded with people. i need to start doing some work to a 30P bravo one

Hi guys,, My 2001 27' which sold to jdub and now to team goumada? Ran 108 w/naturally aspirated 598. never dynoed but assume it was 800hp. Tried many props and drive heights in the nine years I owned it. Bravo 1 labbed 32" @6200 running 2 3/4" below the bottom was the best combo I found and gave me the 108 on GPS. Boat was so consistent we used it to test other engines to see how they compared. It truly was a water based dyno! Best of luck and be safe!

Hi Ray, Yes it,s Holden. That's a really nice engine Ron had. I'm sure he'll be very happy with it. Sorry but I don't have a 30" bravo one at the moment but judging by your #'s your ready for one! Have fun.

After the rebuild I have seen a best GPS speed of 97.5mph. Non dynoed and not even really dialed in with either the carb or the prop. I am guessing that I am around 725hp. I have probably gone faster with a different prop that I broke, but my GPS speedo wasnt working all summer so I can not verify that. I am installing A/F sensor and EGT bungs as we speak, so the engine will be dialed in this summer.

They seem to run right around 90 with about 625hp, Powerboat tested one with a stock 525efi at just over 80mph.

You will pick up a ton of speed just by getting some people out of the boat. I pick up a solid 4-5mph from a full tank to an empty tank.
Powerboat tested the one i currently own in Sept 1998 9 believe and with a stock 500efi and a bravo 1 28 pitch prop ran 82
