My wife and I will be going to the LA boat show this Febuary

Do these hulls benifet from 1" to 2" shorter drive or a stand off
box?
Do they like big props or small spun fast?

We boat at 6200 feet and relize a difference in speed thus the
engine project.Looking for a longer more stable platform,my arm is getting sore from my wifes punches. Like the 24 degree
deadrise. I have had go fast boat for 20 years and It seems the Lavey has what I need in all catagories.
Thank you for your time.
Lavey jr.,are you associated with Lavey Craft?
Hello,

I own a '02 Lavey 2750. In my opinion it is one of the finest built boats on the water. The original engine was an HP500. After a couple of years I added a Whipple 3.3, AFR heads, a 2"shortie Imco, had the bottom totally reworked, put on a 5 blade Hering and it is a 100 mph boat. Ran gps at 97 on Elsinore. Unfortunately I lost the engine due to a fuel lean out. Sadly the boat is now for sale. You can't go wrong with a Lavey.

My best in my 29' MCOB/w525efi was 79mph GPS in 1-2 chop, decent tail wind and 1/4 tank of gas. Avg is 76-77 with labbed prop.

No I have not sold the boat and do not plan on rebuilding the engine. The boat had not been used for two seasons up to the time that the engine let go so, no use, no reason to rebuild. I will attempt to sell it without the engine. $40K without, $45K with engine, 2 whipples(2.3 & 3.3) headers, and all the attachments. Boat does come with 2"shortie Imco drive, Hering 5 blade, Merc 32 4 blade, K-planes, full hydraulic steering, big stereo, Halon, Vapor detector, pre-oiler, etc and much more.

ive got cmi headers on my small tub and they are fine
the issue that merc had with cmi headers in the 535 application was an engineering fault that omitted post weld heat treating
was only a problem for 1 1/2 yrs i believe

I can speak for the 29 NuEra and it rocks. we purchased it used from Lavey Craft with a 575sci with 250 hours and hit 81 with 4 people. Ask Lavey Jr. he was there. Below is a link to the before and after shots when we had Lavey Craft regel and fill in some port holes.
