Uncle Dave,
I've seen you post this a few times before but I'm still almost 100% positive you DO have a 2" shorty. I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive. I'll post a couple pics to attempt to show and prove this. Mercury makes two different types of sport master drives. The bravo 1 xr sport master, and the bravo 1 xr short sport master. The bravo 1 xr short sport master is 2" shorter, hence the name. In the first pic you'll see the bravo 1 xr sport master. The second pic is your drive on your boat. I have circled the portion on the bravo 1 xr sport master that gives it 2" more length. Your drive does not have this. Also, note how the bravo 1 xr short sport master (your drive) has a bigger/extended cav plate - most likely due to it being 2" higher and more susceptible to blowout/cavitation... http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...psefa0afc2.png http://i.imgur.com/Q1BAuqo.jpg |
Well i like it more now- but I like it less than my imco.
Pretty sure this ended up deeper than my original setup regardless of what depth it is, but interesting data to share. I see the extra depth in the pict. thanks JR. UD |
