Wood deck insert?
#4
Aaron,
It was like a pcs. of laminate with a clear coating over the top of it
I think it was epoxied on the deck and then with screws around the edge.
wasn't very thick,if i remember correctly
Mine cracked, so we sanded off the clear coating and then shot it purple to match the hull and I took the bubble vent off and put a flat hatch on it about the same size as the bubble
Hope that helps
Thank you
Jim

So maybe it was veneer with a varnish or something like that?
Was it one solid piece of wood or thin strips put together?
Did you get my e-mail?......it's ok if you don't want to....I just thought I'd ask.
Thanks,
Aaron

initially i thought it was teak, however i saw on years back and like mentioned above it appeard to be more of a laminate of some sort, looked pretty cool and classic to tell the truth, but the area it sits in isnt very "deep" at all which leads me to believe that is some type of laminate.... ive got that 27 magnum flyer, the one with the yellow mag on it, and it has the teak or whatever looking deck on it. i'll dig it up and scan it over to you but dont know how much it will really help
