hello, i dont post a lot at all in the magnum forum, but a boat in the classifieds has caught my attentio for while now, and i feel the need to ask...
anyone know anything about the magnum named powder keg in the classifieds? ive seen it in there for awhile...looks to be real clean. anyone seen the condition of it? history? it says is listed under "marine management", is that a boat dealer in lauderdale? im not very familiar with the magnums..is the price of 50obo a fair/high/low price considerin the condition? how well do they handle gulf? what kinda speeds could one expect with this combination? thanks a lot in advanced for your responses

It is a real nice boat i lookeed at it lastyear, But the price is way to heavy....You will not find a better riding 27 ft boat anywhere. Theses things are tanks they run better in a heavy chop 3 footers, Mine has a single 700hoarse na and runs high 70"s 78gps. In my opinon that boat is worth 38-40,000 at the most.

I think there are around 4 of us on this site finishing up restorations. To some of us these boats are not just boats... They are 27 Magnums with a great history and following... who knows where the $ could go...

Stinger, I may know of a nice 28 maltese that was just completed... its sweet. If you have a pair of sbcs sitting around, its a great buy.
The engines are pretty original, could use a rebuild imo.
