my father was the copilot and mechanic for Dr. Herford on this boat they were partners in racing it from the beginning till the end when we moved to Arizona I remember this boat very well growing up and rode in it many times it was the coolest boat in the world when I was a young boy
I had my mom died ask Dr. Herford‘s wife a few times what happened to the boat but never heard back so wasn’t sure what happened to it

Good to see Double Trouble being restored. Almost 20 years ago she was for sale, out of a car dealership, on Pacific Coast Hwy in Newport Beach, California. In the autumn of 2008 a Brian Wozniak (OSO signature woz58), had her on consignment with Waters Edge Marine in the Detroit metro area. Brian bought her around 2006 in Michigan. She was actually in very decent condition cosmetically when she left California, and I got the survey on file for her from 2008. I was considering buying her and bring her back to California, but bought a '70s Larry Smith Team Scarab instead. If You PM me your email, I will forward the survey. Thanks fellows, for giving her some love!
