Hermelinen,
I wana try find a GPS who fit in the middle of the dash... Tomas, I'll be down the Knallsuggan in a hour... |
Mange... looking great! The dash is exceptionally clean looking and uncluttered, totally cool!
Any of the Garmin mid priced units would work and look great with the style of guages too. GPS450 is for the UK... and relatively priced. would look sharp. Just sent one to Germany for my godfather. Still haven't seen any contact names and numbers on the molds for the 28... hint hint! And a quick question.... if you aerate the pad , what is the probability of cavitation at that point? I suppose I mean cavitation in regards of propshaft cavitation. I have never heard of that before so I figured I would ask. I often thought of aeration in our drag boat hulls... but ended up loosing stability while running our flatbottoms with dimples created in the bottom. Not that there is really any hull in the water at 150 mph, but the whole 18 inches of runnning area isnt unstable enough. lol |
Hello Mange!
Nice to see that your boat are getting closer to completion :D Magnus Z. |
Mange, try some leds for that dash. they maybe able to be seen better in the day light.

Mange... If you are looking for L.E.Ds, I worked for a local company here in North Carolina that is world renowned for their LEDs. Actually this company even supplied the LED's used at the large screen TV in Time Square, VERY reliable.
WHat I have are the bulbs (white only) with an approximately 3/4" long hard wire from them. You can use them in any configuration and design your own bases or replace previous lights in your guages (like I did) but you will need a stepdown transformer to like 2 volts. If you are interested, email me and say hello, include your information and I will send you a bunch. [email protected] Michael |
Mange, I made a quick pitstop with the Chevy at Dr. Johnny's place yesterday night and got a perfect opportunity to drewl over the mean killer 572, as Karl and proffessor himself were putting on the finishing touches. What an AZZKKR!!! "Stunned" would be an apropriate description of the impression I got. The seriosity of the project kind of hits one righ tbetween the eyes when you see the damn thing! This boat is gonna put a lot of ass back on the trailers.... :evilb: :evilb: :evilb:

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the bad feedback. I’ve been very busy lately. Last sat we had the engine started. it turnedout well! Johnny & Carl @ the engineshop are very very professional. We have dynotime at Jari's place end of next week. The black complete dashboard is it the boat, just waiting for some signal lights. Yesterday night I run the steering and everything turned out well. So now I have just about 1000 "minor" things to do. But my plan is still week 27 in water. I just decided I gona spend my midsommar-weekend working with my boat. Prob I'll have some pics tommorow. Tomas, Johnny have some clips in his cellphone but he (we) dont know how to have them to the PC...... //Mange |
