Magnums and Panteras
Has anyone else noticed how many guys here are fans of both the Magnums and Panteras. I just see such a crossover from both of the owners forums all the time.
They are the only owners forums I even look at.
Love the classic look.
I think when I finish my Pantera I'm gonna start shopping for a Mag to put beside her.

It is hard to find two affordable boats that are both classic and timeless.....When ya have a mag and a pantera ya have both.......Most people on here can buy and sell me over and over....... But when ya see a mag or a pantera you are still going to say (man that is a good looking boat).....................................You cant change history or classic lines, and agian we have both.....

bouyhunter, A good point there.
My 28 Pantera went to Finland.
Now I have 1 old 24 Pantera and the 28 Arrow (Magnum bastard) http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=158374
Some day I'll find a nice 27 Sport
Here's my boats

Wow! Really funny. My buddy and are are in the middle of an IM discussion about how "related" the Mag and Pantera hulls are because I'm trying to talk him into buying a Mag!
So, does anyone know? Looking at the 27 Mag, it looks like a cutdown Pantera. I'm guessing that the 28 Mag maybe got cut into the 27 and maybe (to be polite) has a direct paternal influence on the 28 Pantera.
I posted a photo of a Mag that looks very "Pantera" to me...

24' is 7' and the 28' is 8'. I believe that someone in the old school section said that the 24 came from the first non-plugged formica mold (PD, JAWS, Pantera, etc).
The 28 is really what I'm curious about. The 27 Mags do seem narrower than the Pantera in some photos.
