Would you say you ride "in" these boats are "on" them? From the pictures, it looks mostly like "on" since there's a pretty low freeboard. How high on the body do your standup bolsters go?
I've looked through a bunch of pictures, but more are welcome.

I am 6' 5" with out cutting out the floor to stand, forget about it, I re-did my boat as a sit down just like the Cig Gladiator. I also lowered the back seat base to about 6" off the floor for a nice deep feeling front and back.

Hello Handfiulz28
I cut out my floor and made it 7 inches deeper in the drivers/co-drivers area. There is not a lot of freeboard unless you are sitting.
Thank you
Jim

interesting thoughts and thread . . . .
I see the 27's as a big Donzi 18 conceptually .. . just a much better ride . . but you're still on top of the water and on the boat vs the feeling in a 22 Donzi where you are in the boat ..
I bought Sudden Impulse, an old Vee windshield boat from 1968. I don't like thew looks of the huge windshield, but can see the advantages of the high wind screen. My other boat is a Donzi 18 Corsican, which has a windshield . . although small it is wonderful when you're on the water all day at speed.
The Vee boat has a separate dash overlay to create the cowl for the different windshield . . my thought was to replace the tall windsheild with a lower Mirage style windshield . . or 3/8" - 1/2" thick lexan , or remove the whole cowl piece and return the deck to a standard Sport style. But if seating is sit down, does this offer any wind protection?
Sorry for all the questions, I bought this boat in October, and haven't yet used it, but plan on getting it ready for a full summer use w/o any work during the summer other than wash and wax . . .
All help is appreciated!
