Magnum Power

In the re-do of the Thriller we found a name under the most recent paint..."Magnum Power" the 1974 maltese was orange in color,no cabin liner,4 gas tanks. The two additional ones were just in front of the cabin bulkhead. This was a Racing Magnum set up when purchased based on stringer placement.Prior to coming east 2-3 years ago it was out of Lake Havasu, however it was no stranger to salt water. When we took apart the 3 man bolster the aluminum frame was well pitted. Any history on this Maltese.? Bud Weisner

Aaron...post what you have, looking for any old info so I can have as much history on Magnum Power / Thriller
Jeff, most of the potential buyers want to spend nothing and they usually end up with nothing,I have had more potential buyers who want a Magnum ready to go,so I decided to put it thru a retro.Removed the 3 man bolster, complete re-paint,white with standard red badging. All original Magnum hardware being re-chromed,or buffed along with original candy stripped interior with racing bolsters. It will be a beauty when it is done. I am building a new web site "Magnum Restoration" that will show the progress on current and past boats ,plus some Magnum parts that I need to get rid of.
I will let you all know when the site is up and running. Bud

Aaron was this an ad,or sales piece? The maltese had a life line and a light pole up front. It was sold by Burbank Marine 1/22/75 and only 7 Maltese's came from he factory in the Tangerine color,it also had 6 small air scoops which is uncommon, they normally came with 4 . Bud

With no finished cabin, could this Mag have been one of those boats the DEA would chase ???
