looking for some suggestions . .
My boat is way too LOUD! 4 x 4" exhaust wide open with twin 383 SBC . ..
I don't want to add external mufflers and would prefer to retain the original backslashed tips, they just look so cool!
So I want to add mufflers internally, I have about 12" of length that I can easily utilize.
Suggestions of what is really effective and works well.

I'm considering these for my 383's: http://www.american-hi-tek.com/
They can be fitted inside and you can keep your old tips.

Jeppe,
thanks . . I considered this company when I built my Donzi with the Ford, but working with them in Australia was a challenge. Looks like they now have a USA based sales operation.
Wonder if the mufflers will work with EMI exhaust manifolds ? I can't afford two sets of SS manifolds!
Jeff,
Not likely . unless I can solve the Volvo tilt motor location. Moving my drives up will cause interference on the deck.
I am looking at other options . .
. . shortened Volvo mid section.
Right now the focus is on the engines, w/o them I can't use the boat . . .
