Original waterline stripe width

i've just completed stripping and redoing the entire bottom on the Magnum 27, and want to stripe the side before it gets used . . .
Were the original stripes singe or double, I've seen pics of both, and what were the widths of each?

My 74 Maltese has double water lines. I will measure when I pick up the boat later today. I think the double was used in case you were carring heavy "cargo".

Mario....the double stripe was an option. The single stripe was 2in, I believe....

FWIW: I've seen some very early boats, like yours, that had a different stripe....hard to explain though...

:)

H2O

My 73 sport had a single 2" stripe also.
When we repainted the hull, we kept the original stripe and repainted the purple.

will try and post a photo after it was repainted.
Thank you
Jim
