Volvo Drive ratios
 

Does anyone recall the ratio of the Volvo drives used on the early Magnum 27s and the Cigarette 27SS . . which IRC is the same hull.

Mario,, 1.61:1 is the gear ratio. [230-260 HP 1.61:1 gear ratio] 14 x 23 14 x 23 15 x 21 props..
[290 HP 1.61:1 gear ratio] 14 x 23 14 x 23 14 x 21 props.. The prop sizes are just a good starting point. Mark

i have a 290 with 1;61 running a 14.25x23 ss bronson and hill left hand prop solid hub

Perfect, thank you! I'm chasing down a couple 280B drives to replace the broken 250s on my boat. Then it's onto developing a single ram power tilt!

The Volvo trim set up I, had came off of Roger's Jolly Roger Sport when he converted to the MDS Speedos

The system worked great using Merc trim rams,, i think at the time they were Merc outboard trim rams
