new to performance boats, previously owned and operated albemarle, bertram and cary sportfishers. I am about to pull the trigger on a 1983 magnum sedan, twin 350's/volvo 280's. my question is what is the ride like? what can you compare it to that is currently being built. In the fishboat world the regulator 26 is the benchmark in that size range.what seas can you comfortably run in a mag 27? 2-3,3-5 etc. any input or likes or dislikes welcome to. thanks in advance.

I have had my sedan since 1994. I have used it exclusively on Lake Erie so I can't comment on ocean performance. When it gets rough on Lake Erie the waves become steep and and relatively close together. my boat loves a good 2-3 foot chop.
It rides better, faster. In longer swells it flies relatively flat with a touch of tab. I have never stuffed this boat, unlike my previous 24 pantera or 18 donzi. Considering it's size, it is a great ride. 27 Magnums aren't legends because they're old, they're legends because of their hull design.

thanks for the reply. Hey 27 sedan can you provide an email where I could possibly email a contact number. I have a few questions maybe you could answer before I purchase this sedan. Thanks in advance. Gerard
