Dad and I finally splashed her for real yesterday and it ran great! A few bugs to work out but otherwise a great day! Thought we would share with everyone to keep the motivation high!

She is absolutely beautiful, I love the windshield and the nostalgic red and white interior is perfect. Keep her safe.

Jeff,

Many congratulations. You have done a great job, well worth the effort and something to be proud of.

Good luck to you and all who sail on her.

Looks great! I'm having my Maltese shipped down to my new home in Florida next month! I can't wait

Your Maltese looks fantastic, what a great original restoration. Hope you were smiling ear to ear on the first day out. All that's left is buffing out the bottom where she sits on the bunks... funny, I had the same patches when mine came off the stands and went in for the first time.
Congrats again on a great job.

Dash Board Teal Engraved

1 Attachment(s)
Finally got my dash plaque done after an endless search for the right material! Not exactly the same material as original and we still have screw holes to drill and chamfer but very happy with outcome thus far. I believe it looks better than the original and matches all my teak much better (I am of the opinion a Teak engraving material was not available in the early 70's and Walnut was used perhaps?). The emblem is engraved in the teak material and is white exactly like the original in look and size. I will get some better photos taken and anybody who may be interested I can probably produce for 115.00 to 125.00 per without mounting holes (these may be specific to your boat). Holes are beautiful and flawlessly cut.

Teak Dash

Guys,

Not looking to make any money just share the passion, info, fun, and knowledge! Pictures do not do this dash justice! Finished the backing material today to bring dash to original thickness give or take a few thousandths. Material is a plastic engraving material in teak. Backing is just a composite wood. holes are cut to drawing specs. See attachments. Can't wait to drill and chamfer screw (mounting) holes and transfer gauges over from the old dash.
