Default My New Magnum

Hi all , I'm now a member of the Magnum family. It's a perfect trifecta Cigarette, Donzi and Magnum. I went down to Grand Rapids Michigan to meet Parnell and pick up the 27sport hull. He is a great guy and a pleasure to deal with, I trust we will become better friends as time goes on. It's is now home in Toronto and I look forward this project. I will keep you all posted once I get started.

Right now the plan is to run a twin small block set up as I have 2 4 bolt motors I can use . I will run Alpha's I am not looking to make more than 425hp a side . This set up will run efficiently and will keep the weight down and I figure it could still run some where in the low 70's. I am going see if I can run them staggered provided I don't have to lose the bench seat if not I will stick with a side by side arrangement.
Paint will be the classic white deck ,red hullsides and white bottom with candy cain uphosltery.

Parnell no problem on the ride , but you will have to come up to Toronto to collect it and I can show you the city and the water front attractions.

24degrees, like Parnell said I would love to see pictures of your ride. I can use all the inspiration I can get.

Hello Rick
Great to hear that you and Parnell could get together on a deal for his second 27 Sport.

Keep us posted as you go along with the project.
Panell has my old 27 Sport hull that some one cut up into a open CC boat.
Happy Winter project

Thank you
Jim

Thanks Dammagnum. Like Parnell said you guys need to show me some pictures. I saw your old boat. Judging by what I saw of Parnell's work it will be spectacular he has an eye for detail.

Hello Rick

My Sport was a nice looking purple Magnum when i had it and sold it
its sad that some one took it apart and made it look the way it did when Parnell picked it up
it was completely redone when i sold it .I know that Parnell will bring it back to life as good as it was when I had her.

Thank you
jim

Sean you are right I have a sickness. I think I have it under control now. I am looking forward to running the cigarette this summer on Lake O and Simcoe. The Magnum I think will take a year or two to complete but the idea was that it is the right size to fit on a lift in front of the cottage where I can't do that with the Flat Deck. Plus everyone should owns boats in eleven foot increments. I am looking forward to the project. My problem is I like building as them much as running thrm.
I will keep you all posted on my progress.
