Default Nose Cones ???

Anyone have personal experience with nose cones on a bravo drive 27? My prop slip is around 18% so I am thinking about it. Is there any difference between imco/hydromotive etc?
Thanks - Marshall

I have been doing some reserch for a friend with a 32 Stuphen with Bravo's. What I am finding out is, boats with a high X like nose cones. Boats with a low X need the blunt stock Bravo lower. With the high X you will get a better flow to the prop with the nose cone, With the lower X the drive will need more trim. The blunt lower is desined for more trim in deeper water not effecting the water flow over the prop. Hope this helps.

Thanks DP - what do you consider a high x? My prop shafts are 5" below the bottom at the drive and about 1" above the keel bottom.

I believe nose cones like running close to the surface. I think yours is that way. Stock Bravo lowers are for props running deep in the water. Like family boats, non high performance style boats. I ran Hdromotives on my Maltese with TRS and she ran great,

I am instaling a set of leading edge on my 32 active thunder as we speak, my thunder has a high x and another guy on here put a set on his 32 active thunder and picked up 4 mph. they help you mostly over 80mph boats.
