Bud and I have been going over the info on my Maltese and we are begining to believe I have hull #1 for the Maltese line. Originally tangerine colored. Do you feel the value of the boat would be affected with a color change.

I believe my Magnum race sport had as many wins, and may be more than the SPIRIT, when it came time to sell didn't bring any more money than any other Mag in nice condition.
My Cobra [SMIDGEN Too] was the last boat Wally Harper raced, is it worth more , NOPE! My Donzi Doral was the cover for the catalog & the only Doral to race does that help it's value not so much. I think a well restored nice clean Mag will bring it's value no matter what # it is. I do like the tangerine color. Just my two cents.

Original color to add value would IMO require gelcoat and a full restoration to exact originality . .which is way to expensive . . and the boat market will not support this for many years to come . . . build it as you desire it . . . save the money for fuel!
