Could this really be a 27 starfire?
or a clem gem.

Not a Clem Gem as Jim did not have that deck mold, & was not building Mag knock offs in 1972. I never saw him hang Volvo drives on Magnum copies, most came with Sternpower drives.. .
Magnum did not build Starfires in 1972, this may be a re decked old Sport hull. Both of my 1973 Magnums have Hin #, I wonder if this does ????

I didn't think magnum made the starfires till later on(76/77?)
Odd windshield too.

Thats a tough one... Starfires began in 78'. Looks like a Magnum hull. Transom shot looks like a Starfire deck but the cockpit helm and bulkhead area is very different. Like Mark said, it could be a sport hull with some kind of starfire deck that did not include the helm.

When I was down @ the Key West race a few years ago this Magnum was there I believe they said there sport was redecked with this Starfire deck.

I remember seeing that black sport/starfire in a thread, believe it was from TN.
