Default 27 Sport SideWinder Update

SideWinder Hull 159, September 1971
Hot off the sewing machine today. I know this may offend a few puritans but when you have the only one of its kind in the Country no one has anything to compare it against, so as a total restoration I can throw in a few mods, to suit myself. I hope some of the other 27 Sport owners will approve

Thanks Jim, much appreciated. 40 plus years on and that design is still outstanding.

Nice work Kalaazar
The pair of Hatches Custom or Ordered from F/G Catalogue?
Whats the Measurements of the scoops LxWxH?
Any shots of the underside of hatches? Engine picture would be nice to see if its a True Ram Air Function effect.

The air scoops were made in the UK, however we cut down the height by some 2 1/2 ". The hatch was only laid on the boat today as we have a little more work to do on the underside before we fit the hinges and the power lift. Yes we did raise the engines up which is why we have the scoops to allow for the air intakes. I hope to post more pictures after this weekend when the boat will go to its first classic show and provide the measurements you have requested.

Looks great. Love the scoops and the red and white stripes! Post a few pics of the engine bay if you get a chance.

Default SideWinder Further Update

Guy`s thanks for the very positive response to the upholstery pictures. However lets see how my version of the Magnum Windscreen goes down. Beside better support for the screen I wanted a more powerful look, more visual weight and purpose hence the stainless trim.
Now the screen is solid but mounted on rubber seals etc.
Next is the Anchor Box Hatch, this is all flush mounted into the Teak Deck.
And lastly the radio aerial clip, it both hold the aerial down but supports it off the deck at the same time with the aerial under tension
