I seriously considered it but you know all the wood is shot, trailer is iffy and in the grand scheme of getting it sea worthy you could pick up a real magnum or cig for not much more. But good luck to whoever bought it. I just hope the person was not thinking that they actually got a magnum cause it has magnum logos on the side, that was my first thought, I had never heard of lancer and figured it was mis titled, I'm glad I found this thread, lol

Why,,,,, good question. There are not many real Magnum sports available. Hell I bought two Klem gems before I knew better, they can fool you, but mine were not built by Klem just sold by him as they were Cheetahs. Back in the day [1979] I helped a friend build one of the best Klem Gem Mag copies, [Mariah] today it's puss. Klem did not use the right kind of wood & poor set ups... If you have the skills & money to rebuild the transom & stringers restore one. But using 4x4 wood blocks for engine mounts like Kwixotic has is not the right way to do it, & as that boat was wet who knows the rest of the story.. I now have two real 1973 magnum [sport & sedan] that have stringers that still ring,[when hit with a hammer] that's the difference..... My friend Daryl C & I put Klem on the map, [selling our friends on them] something I kinda regret to this day. Mark
