27' lowering the cockpit floor

Good Evening
Hope the NH winter is treating you well
When I lowered the floor on my Sport, I lowered it by 7 inches . I kept the two outer side stringers at the factory height and cut down the center stringer then laminated a full length sheet of 3/4 marine plywood to each side of the center stringer to add strength back.
Then I built a box using marine plywood that went from one outer stringer to the other outer stringer, glassed it inside and out, it was under where the 3 man bolster setup it was and forward.. it was a very long time ago, I think the box size was about 24-28 inches wide.
I was also able to keep the floor hatches.
I hope that helps?
Thank you
Jim

please find attached 3 quick pictures via my phone of my seat base mods. one will show the Stainless deck flange and outer bearing trim cover. two will shoe the top part of the PTFE ( not Nylon ) bearing sleeve inside the cover, and three will show the new outer seat Colum tube
which is welded to the deck flange from beneath the deck.
I had to replace the original seat shock absorbers and the new units were about 1 1/2" longer so my inner Colum had to go up, so my new outer bearing is quite deep at the top in order to provide additional support as well as a bearing face.
If you like the concept I will provide more details should you wish.
Your boat is looking great, I would like to see it for real.
The benefit to me in the UK with my Resto-mod is " no one has anything else to compare it against" it`s one on its own.
Best regard
Ian
