For those of you who have the Bolster frames from Great Lakes Skipper, can you tell me what purpose the welded brackets on the frames serve?
Also, with the bag of hardware?............................I bought my Bolster frames from an outside source. Came complete, but with no instructions.

----Scippy,,,Notice that the welded brackets are on opposite sides. This should give you a clue. They are for attaching the bolsters to the sides of the boat for added strength.
----I think I found out yesterday that Im going to have to shorten the legs for the installation in Short Circuit. This should be fun! NOT!!!!.......Bill S

That's what I kinda thought.........thanks Bill!........... What situation leads you to shorten the legs?.......as they are, the bolster frames seem to be on the shorter side to begin with.

Bill thinks when sitting down he will be sitting to high up. Where thinking of cutting them down to the first rung off the bottom, about 4". These would be perfect in the higher sided sedan...

Scippy, the seats look great...very well built.Wht don't you wait till you can put the seats in and actually run the boat before you cut them down.I had a pair made for two of the Maltese's and I felt they were high also, however once I ran them I decided to leave them as is..BUD

Hello Bud..........Short of just runing them, I placed them into the boat and mocked them up behind the dash and got a good comfortable feel on them. There 37" as they stand before upholstery. I figure 2" taller finished ..............................I'll post pics in a couple of weeks when there back and finished...........old skool rolled & pleated!
