Magnum Models
 

I Have spoken with the gentlemen who built the Fino Models.We have an opportunity to have him build Magnum Models.They will cost around $500-$600 based on what you want on your model and they are not to scale.I understand they can be built with power however I have no idea what that will run.I would like to approach him with an order for 12 units,Sport.Maltese and Starfire.We also should be able to build Sedans however have no pricing on them at this time.They would be painted in your colors and have your name on the boat.Also some other details like windshield,deck inlay etc would need to be worked out. With all you magnum afficanitos out there i can't believe only 2 people plus myself total 3 have indicated that they are interested in purchasing these models.
I am trying for a total of 12 units so we can get some additional custom work done for little additional add on cost.need to know next week.

I think we need some more info. You stated not to scale, but will it still look like a Magnum 27, regardless of model?

Yes, it will, not down to the precise inch.Look at the Finos they look beautiful.Listen, guys, I am not begging for the orders, just trying to provide all of you an opportunity to acquire a Magnum model if you are interested.It will be a lot of work for me if someone else wants to do .....go to it.Bud

Bud you have the same hull as the 28 SS Cigarette.

For a little bit more, you could have him make the 28 SS deck mold and use the mold he makes for the Magnum hulls. You could surely reach your goal by including the Cigarette guys ordering too.

This is a great deal guys. I had a model maker do up my 38 foot race boat and full Mack tractor and semi trailer. The bill in todays prices would be over $15,000.

This is a good deal! I am building my own model from an RC fiberglass hull is 40" + long and cost will be way more by the time it is complete.

Bud sorry but it's not in my budget @ this time as I'm restoring my Sedan, any extra cash has to go into it.

Bud I take it you are using Bert's guy so are these Magnum models to be made of wood like the Fino's are? I have seen Bill's model of his Blue Chip Fino & it is spectacular.

Not a problem, thank's you, you are the 12 person to place an order, so I have my minimum # of units to get started..I will send you all an e-mail on what is needed from you so I can to proceed.Definetely photos, colors, the name of your boat and any special features your boat has.I will try to incorporate them in each order, to customize your model as best as possible.This model boat project will be huge, and when it's done, I know you will be delighted with the end product.

The last comment is I am starting on the next list of models to be produced.If you are interested, send me your request, and I will begin building that file.

Yes, because of my back surgery I am a little behind on the project. Should get started in earnest next week. Hold up is locating scaled drawing from Magnum on all Models. I have the Maltese in hand so that design is good to go. Bud
