Velocity vs Sunsation
This guy figgured he was going to spank me, wrong! He runs a 26' Sunsation with a built 502. The guy was a "HUGE" mouthpiece at the dock. I hit 91 while passing him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjnVp4I3244

thats one fast sneaker.

What the heck was that guy thinking??:drink:
|
Looked like that dude brought a knife to a gun fight.

Man those Velocity's are fast. I wish I could have been on the other side of the Sunsation in my Velocity. Good job Andy, Sounds awsome.
|
took a couple of replays but I'd have to say the vid was shot heading north out of the st clair river heading out into lake huron:drink:. Hope to meet you out there one of these times:drink:
|
Looks like you "doled out" a beating- nice.
Uncle Dave |
Hey Andy that thing pulls hard! Looked like he was standing still. Go Man!

You got it right, Bluewater Bridge behind me. I live in Sarnia, which is to the left when looking backwards. Can't wait untill next season and look forward to partying with any of my US or Canadian boating bro's. I can't go to the US cause of an old bar fight I was in but the water is a free zone!

A good spanking never hurt anyone. It keeps you in check and it's good for the boating industry. He'll be looking for something bigger and faster in the future.
|
My intent wasn't to bash any other types of boats, just that mouthpiece at the dock. He was a punk about 25yrs old and was trying to showing off for his girlfrend with nice boobs. :hitit:
|
Raytart havent talk to you in a while. Another LI get together this year!!! Andy i would have done the same with my old velocity.

the velocity screams old school muscle. also noticed the navigator on board the velocity took the camera and jumped in the back seat when the driver had to push the throttles forward. appeared to be a refined ass kicking team, great stuff.

A little more to this story and some photo's, I remember when Andy bought this boat for 12K and went to work making it what it is today. The Velocity lives again.
|
Nothing better than giving a spanking! nice job.
|
I did the same thing to guy from Tennesse new into Texas w a 89 Welcraft w/2 hot 454's in my 29' Fountain single. Stopped to talk w him afterwards the guy was classic big mouth salesman and you could tell that he was used to winning. Welcome to Texas buba!

I had a 30 Velocity w/750's that ran as fast as you could drive it . In the right water went 105 anytime , at 110 I ran out of boat . Drove that boat for 10 years , didn't get passed very many times .
|
unfair maybe but any boat who engages a V with tall scoops has to know whats in store....nice vid, keep murdering!

I think he's got me on this one Live Wire you did not even bring up a race just pointing out 2=huge built motors vs a 502 That's cool that you won! your engines look sweet what hp are they? congrats again! |
I was late getting into the water so I have no idea what HP. The engines are tall deck 520cu/in, Dart Pro 1 heads 360 runners with 671's and twin 750 hollys. I'm pulling the engines this week to take to Tyler Crockett marine and dyno them. Should make 725-825 hp I hope. I need some more seat time to figure how to drive this thing. I have notices that it likes to run flat and don't even think about touching the tabs when at speed, I learned that one the hard way!

I can assure you that the owner of that boat was running his mouth for no other reason than to start a conversation!! Great guy, and motor for motor that boat runs strong!!
Motors look great in the Velocity...although you could probably squeeze around 110 out of them in a Dominator hull!! :drink: |
He got more then just a conversation, along withit came an @$$ whoppin. Hey Bo thats great speed for an old non step hull. Try to get that speed with another straight hull boat same power its impressive.
-Mike |
Any more pics of the velocity?
